This is the rust -- show powered and charge my batteries specialist and a half past 10 o'clock good morning and Merry Christmas to you folks. Are right. Got a Tommy's ham house and hearing the comments of congressman Duncan there. -- you're never gonna reduce the size and scope of government as long as you vote on budgets that increased spending. We are awaiting this critical vote. In the United States senate's on this so called bipartisan budget deal. Which the Democrats loans and apparently the Republicans. Basically have just given up. There's been so much written this week about how the Republicans well I saw 1 article this morning. The Republicans are suffering from post traumatic stress disorder. After the mythical government shut out. That they just wanna. Give up go home for Christmas and get back in January grant amnesty to the illegals. I think the one thing. If it goes the way. That the experts are predicting. This thing's gonna pass the senate and again Republicans. Why have to cross the -- And vote with the Democrats. To get -- sixty votes. Needed to avoid a filibuster. And then of course. With Republicans and Democrats joining together. And does spend more money that they don't have. Increase taxes. -- I think increasing fees is the equivalent of increasing attacks. As the Democrats and Republicans joined together. I want you to remember this this is from the hill newspaper. Eric Washington. Is the reporter the headline is in budget deal. There's a secret reward for the Democrats. Ellison of this fox. First of all this is a two year budget deal. That's really unusual in what I saw that this is weird. Why normally a budget is for a year why a two year deal. In Eric Lawson writes about it. And he says. There's two year budget deal approved by the house. Has hidden. Political benefits for senate Democrats. Republicans charge. Why because it sets a top line budget number for 2015. So Democrats. Won't have to write and pass a budget resolution. In the mid term elections next year. And you know what he's right. He says that means vulnerable Democrats like senators Mark Pryor from Arkansas. -- baggage out of Alaska. -- Kay Hagan in North Carolina Mary Landrieu in Louisiana. Means they won't have to take tough votes as part of a budget voter -- he writes. He says Republicans are unhappy is they believe. They're tough votes. What it made it would have made it easier to defeat these candidates next ball. And take control of the senate in 2015. He writes would Obama cares difficult rollout forcing members to vote on many aspects of the health care law. Would be especially appealing. Senate can vote here at any time. Why. Would the Republicans. Wanna give the Democrats an advantage. If you believe what mr. Watson. Is riding. At the hill newspaper. He further explains until this spring when the senate approved its first budget resolution for years. Senate Democrats had repeatedly avoided passing a budget. In part because of the problems it would have created did. For their most vulnerable members. In two of the years in which the senate failed to pass a budget. Harry Reid argued. Budget caps. In the 2011. Budget control act all meant no resolution was legally necessary. Republicans said Reid did was wrong then. And he would be wrong now if you use this new bill to avoid it. A budget vote. So I don't I don't know what's gonna happen. It'll be a big fox story here on this program if it happens before noon. Will bring it to you. But just remember that. If the Republicans joined with the Democrats in the United States senate and and pass this. They are helping the Democrats next fall. Well. Com about this meeting last night. -- -- Tommy's ham house. Because it as he points out. If you're gonna compare to some place like Wisconsin. And they they really don't have too many conservatives in Wisconsin. Committed to Wisconsin to ground out well. Yet in a state like Wisconsin they have cut taxes they have reformed pensions they have launched school choice programs. You would think. That would be a no brainer here in South Carolina. Gun control -- What happened at a Colorado on Friday. Another shooting at a school. We had a couple -- New Jersey out Christmas shopping they go to a parking garage. Husband gets shot both in their thirties. You know it's been a popular topic on this program for a long time. So can I get this emailed talking about an organization. Called the CS peel away. It's a national organization of sheriffs and police chiefs and other individuals. And they they have a list now. Of law enforcement officials all across the country. That are saying they are not -- in force. Obama's gun control laws or agenda. There's even a piece in the New York Times about this. -- Sunday. Written by Erica good the headline is bold. Sheriff's. Refuse. To enforce laws on gun control. Here's part of that story. When sheriff John -- of Weld County this is in Colorado. When sheriff cook explains in speeches. Why he's not enforcing that State's new gun laws. He -- up to thirty around magazine's one he says. He had before July 1. When the law banning the possession sailor transfer. And then he challenges the audience to tell the difference quote how was a deputy or an officer supposed to know which is rich and he's right. Good rights. Colorado is package of gun laws enacted this year after mass shootings in Aurora Colorado in Newtown Connecticut. Have been hailed as a victory by advocates of gun control but a share of Coke and a majority of the other sheriffs in Colorado offer any indication. These new laws which mandate background checks for private gun transfers. And outlaw magazines over fifteen rounds. May prove nearly irrelevant. Across much of Colorado's rural regions. Some sheriffs are refusing to enforce holes. Saying that they -- to invade and violates the Second Amendment. Many more say that enforcement will be quote a very low priority. As several sheriff's now put it. All of that seven. Of these 62 elected sheriffs in Colorado. Signed on in -- to a federal lawsuit challenging the constitutionality. Of the statutes. The resistance of sheriffs in Colorado is playing out and other states raising questions about whether tougher rules passed since Newtown. We'll have a muted effect in part. Especially in the heartland of America -- gun ownership is common. And grassroots opposition. A -- across the country so back to this group. In just you know take this for what it's worse. BCS. Peel away dot org is the web site. I went to. And they have something that was posted back on July 31. It's entitled growing list of sheriff's associations and police chiefs say no to Obama gun control here's what it says. We've been contacted by police chiefs and other groups or individuals who wanna be counted among the valiant as well look for their list. After the sheriff's. And they put together a list of sheriffs state sheriff's associations and police chiefs. Folks who have vowed to uphold and defend the constitution. When it comes to gun control measures. And the group says we applaud these public servants for their courage and conviction and they write the remarkable thing. About what these brave men and women are doing. Is that nobody told them to do it. Neither -- CS peel away nor any other organization they say that we're aware of actually contacted the sheriff's across the country and asked them to make statements that is something sheriff's did on their own. Or because their constituents. Requested of the they -- soon people started submitting letters and links to dammit it was such a remarkable thing. They started collect all of the names and came out with a list and the miracle happened they say. Other sheriffs across the country have been inspired by the courage of those who stood first and so they say now we see the power of standing even if you fear. You may standalone. Now powered by the gaining momentum of this movement the CS PO way. Has joined with other like minded organizations in a largely volunteer effort. To contact old the remaining sheriffs. And get them to go on the record. So. I'm looking at their list. And they haven't listed state by state. So -- go to South Carolina. Here are the people who. Stood up. And made this commitment. To say no. To Obama's gun control. -- South Carolina and -- -- actually. Berkeley -- Wayne DeWitt. Charleston how can Cherokee Steve -- -- field -- -- per show Jim Matthews Lexington james' minutes. Pickens Ric Clark. Spartanburg chuck -- York Bruce Bryant. -- -- So here in the upstate was say we got and be -- we've got Pickens. We've got Spartanburg. We've got York. -- there's some missing names there. There's a missing counties there. So I started thinking what are why they're missing. Diarrhea and. I couldn't come up with the answer. Can you help me. Why why would do. I mean why would sheriff right. Why would sure of course. Clark. Would share of Bryant -- Why would sheriff Bo -- why would share of national. Why would they make these -- And in other. Sheriff's police chiefs. Not make that -- Let's say must do this by deduction. If you have certain sheriffs and police chiefs are saying standing up and say you know what. This is unconstitutional. This is against the Second Amendment. I am just saying publicly I'm taking a stand right here right now I am not gonna enforce one Obama wants on gun control. So if that's what these sheriffs are saying. Then sheriffs who aren't on the lip on the low on the list or police -- not on the list what it. What are they say. You know may. I just can't quite. Maybe you can help me -- in Greenville -- cold and help me what must they be saying if they're not on the list Joseph. Well all right very good about that restart but what are Smart -- and you stop Carolina sheriff's association. On the list. They're all just amnesty. Has been born through news. Market or repair all I -- -- name was missing -- I can well he's the one who -- very. They don't undercover -- about the -- are currently in any responsibility. For it or studios but Obama got. But yeah that he's not on the list may not be notorious but he especially on record. So you're saying he did take a stand. I'm looking right here South Carolina sheriff's association. Let's say they got California Colorado Florida Georgia Illinois. Indiana Kentucky Michigan Minnesota Missouri. Montana Nebraska New Mexico Oklahoma and then right there South Carolina followed by Texas Utah and Wyoming. Now those are different organizations and associations. Then have made this statement. Write them off the chairman of South Carolina group -- he has actually but they're all bigger. But let me share with you what it says right here in you did you probably solace from it says here -- to. A statement from a state association does not necessarily mean that every sheriff in the states supports it. One cases in Florida. This statement was voted on and approved by the majority of sheriffs in the association. But not by every sheriff in the state. What don't have that report its own grounds people -- just earlier he's got a picture postcard but it. Okay. I'll circulated to look at -- -- career and he may not be. Current individually. These sheriffs are taking this stand publicly saying they're not gonna enforce these laws on gun control. Put that general ribeiro all -- constitution. Yeah that's that's the message that comes through loud and clear and going down the road. What do you think this wouldn't -- -- -- Yeah I I do too when critics don't like it or your net current what do mark 1 am afraid is something very bad it's gonna happen. People -- we'll see you and others say thank you for the call -- they bankrupt. Quick break 1047 now buried in 51 gotta do this quickly here got one text on this Ross it's pretty simple. What the sheriff's not enforcing. The president gun control is gonna leave troops. Federal intrusion and maybe even martial law nonetheless. I support -- like chuck -- we talked about this before. Should just thank. For example I'm I'm sitting here wondering and I'm being truthful here I don't really know. -- or chuck -- stands. I know were Ric Clark stands. I know where some of the other upstate sheriffs stand because their names on the list. You know I don't know for example where the sheriff of O'Connor Kelly stands I don't know where the sheriff of Anderson county stands I don't know where the sheriff of Greenwood stands. -- could be. If their members of the sheriff's association and the South Carolina sheriff's association is on this list as supporting this this. This stand. Maybe they think they don't need to make an individual comment that may be -- but then again they may not pay it. I think it's a very important question. And it's not just from the sheriff's. And the police chiefs. It's also for every member of law enforcement we talked about this before. When the time comes and I don't think it's if the time comes when the time Combs. One of these people gonna do first of all they take in both they're supposed to be up there enforcing the law all the multiple on the country's constitution. So. For him I would hope for a majority of vast majority of them this is a no brainer. This is a no brainer. Second Amendment is what -- jets. Shall not be infringed pretty simple to understand right. But yet. There seems to be all across the country and this is a real danger. When the time columns. And as we have. This agenda. You know we talked about it yesterday. Shooting happened out in Colorado to school on Friday at that mall -- New Jersey Sunday night cowboy Christmas shopping. And immediately the activists came out passion of the story we and said that that this is going to be big thing the big issue. For the 2014 elections. Well as they push push push push push. We come back to this question what are the local sheriffs and police departments going to be what are local law enforcement gonna do when a state law enforcement what are they gonna do. Because the left never quits when it comes to gun controls something to think about today my only purpose -- to make you think. And it welcomed the comment to 1054. Now.
