This is their rust castle show powered and charged by battery specialists. And here we are leading up Q. The Rush Limbaugh program coming up -- twelve news. Great here -- for the URD 163 -- Vince Coakley in progress castle some great conversation today. Including. We'll that the conversation about what's going on in the black community and I wanna pick up their little bits in this hour. Because I think there's a great deal of progress to be made. And one of the things sit down. We were talking about toward the end of the program in the last hour. Is this issue a victim mileage. And if it frustrates the daylights on me to watch. Over and over again -- the same issues being brought up. To scare black people I mean back in her during the ninety's -- and they supposedly had the black churches that were being burned. Ends. For me. Statistical standpoint there was no uptick in black church burnings. But this made a great political issue and they're great it made a great news story. Part of this goes to my own experience because I spent twenty years as a local news reporter and anchor. One of things and and this is a strong mean to say but we're at the point now in history. Well we have a mainstream news media is more concerned about a story than they are the country. That was another example. That whole black church burning thing in fact I remember political commercials being run you remember back during the Arab Newt Gingrich. To vote for Republicans means more black should churches burning. Yes this was an actual commercial that -- So what they do is they eat every election cycle pull the same stuff keeps scaring people the same stuff over and over you know always works. You know white people are gonna take this away from you. You know the Republicans are gonna take that away from you. And so what I ultimately never happens is a serious discussion about. Issues that really matter. Issues like economic empowerment. Issues like the fact the last five years. By every metric. Blacks are. Worse off than they were five years ago. But where do you see that being covered in the mainstream news media nowhere. -- wants to have that conversation. Part of the problem is many of the things that are hurting us in the economic ground. Are things that relate to our own lifestyle choices. I'd much rather have a conversation about the fact. Then when we choose. To do the single parent home thing. Especially for females. Cutting -- household without husbands without men in the -- It doesn't go well. And no amount of money is going to fix that no government program is going to fix that. But what we need our messengers. We're not only going to talk about office. We need people were going to get involved in bin bridged that gap. We need people going to commit to mentoring. Recognizing this. Lack of male leadership in the black community. I was having this conversation with someone the other day. Another big need is adoption. You may not know this but in some parts of the country. And in New York is one of those areas there are more black abortions than there are live births. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Check that out. It's it's really disheartening. To meet the worst thing. Units -- about conspiracies. In this is really conspiracy because those are done in secret this is really more of an agenda. Because it's out in the open. We know what Margaret singer wise she believed in eugenics. After all where do you see abortion clinics. And eight in neighborhoods like. Do you live in. -- they put the abortion clinics in the hood. And -- -- for a reason. Because the goal has always been to limit the population. Of blacks and other minorities. This is something that's very easily discernible and understandable. So first and foremost. What has been promoted is a culture of death in the black community. Beyond that. The destruction of the family. And this is proven. Statistically. That homes. With a single parent mom. Not only their economic issues their school performance issues. These are things that cannot be solved with money with government programs. So if you wanna talk about eight. A plan for the future. And messaging for the future what has to happen here. Are couple things. I would be very clear about something there are things that politics simply cannot solve in this is one up. This is something has to be an internal. Issue that's dealt with on the community level this has to be dealt with in the church's. And among families. To begin. Putting things back together. To the reason we are destroyed is because of our lack of knowledge. And we're also destroyed because of our disintegration. That's taking place what do I mean by disintegration. Is tearing. Families apart -- in communities apart. That's what destroys its. If you wanna see recovery. Let's start putting families back together let's stop. Creating. Unnecessarily single parent homes it's one thing to lose a a -- A wife. Or husband. As the result of a premature death. It's another thing. To have children out of wedlock and these are choices. And what they do is they sentence children. To poverty. And two under performing. But they're very few people wanna talk about these things. It's time in fact it's past time. The compassionate thing to do is to talk about these things. One of my concerns and in regards the Republican Party. And this gets back to some what I communicated here earlier. Is. In the area of and then I don't even like this were an outreach we've got -- the interest -- going -- in North Carolina by the way. The states and national Republican parties have partnered together. To set up a an outreach office in Charlotte. I know all three of the guys who were in this office and they are doing. A phenomenal job. And the goal of course is to. Began engaging its called lead in the engagement office and I like that name. Because the goal is to engage people in the black community. And us. There's already been some significant progress there are some relationships I have now as a result of this engagement. But I will tell -- for too long the real message. Of conservatism the real message of liberty really is not has not been getting to the black community. Had a conversation with Steve dates in fact it's been awhile since I've been here on WRT. One of the things that's happened since my last time here is the Virginia race the Virginia governor's race can -- -- Nelly lost that race. And it's my friend Steve days made a point which I think is a good one. That if 5%. And I think maybe even a lower figure. Of black. Voters in Virginia could have been reached. That race would have turned to. But I -- people all the time. Who think that reaching out and communicating and relating to people in the black community on these issues is a waste of time. That is not only not compassionate. It's suicidal. I give an example of this I live in -- city Charlotte where the democratic demographics have rapidly change to the point now. Where people are openly raise the question as to whether Republican ever get elected mayor we just had a mayor's race. A few weeks ago. Ends frankly. My concern is. Whether Charlotte may end up turning into another Atlanta. Now some people think that's a good thing. I don't think that's a good thing. So. Here's the choice to force. Especially in these metropolitan areas. Do we go down fighting. Or maybe even better succeed and gain some ground in the black community by daring to communicate and engage. Well we just run. I see too many runners I see too many people. Who approached this wolf. You know we're not gonna bother with those people were just going to engage our voters. Now I don't read any weird racial thing in here at all what I read in this is laziness and selfishness. I just which you what I'm saying here is. I am calling out. The really the across the board. Republican party for its failure to engage. I think we may be surprised. But you know what we're not gonna get any results if we don't even try. I think it's time to try. The cholera before the break mentioned Albert killer he is the state senator. Who switched to the Republican Party few months ago I will take him. Over any of these clowns who were its so called leadership in Washington DC now because he can articulate. The real Republican platform message better and certainly implement it. Then the clowns that we have running the party. I heard a great commentary from Neil Cavuto. And he was talking about this issue restart in about the race in Australia. They elected a new prime minister who basically did everything that you're not supposed to do you talked about the social issues he won. -- Neil Cavuto summed up his commentary on that particular day after the election -- said. Maybe you in the Republican Party what you need to do is recover your souls. And I think that's what we're fighting for those who were in the liberty movement. Those of you who embraces the message of liberty. We're fighting. To recover the soul of the Republican Party because it doesn't have one right now. I'll tell you what. If you don't have anything going for you more than. Looking for money power and winning. You are a party that's on its way to extinction. And I think that's exactly what's happening. Bush -- the rest castle show Vince Coakley filling in -- local demure 63. As we go to easily get a call from bill good morning. There a majority should rule him. Foreign colder. I'm tickled to call entitlement to a person of color pool you know person that has an opinion polls opened here a little bit. Yeah I I can understand that they now I appreciate you -- and because this is something you know goes back Torre said about victim elegy if you continue to tell people they're not empowered. That the white man is going to keep them from getting a job then and cut down their opportunities. Well what are you going to gets you going to get more people were not even going to bother to try. And I see this all the time. This unfortunately is encouraged. Encourage behavior. The -- into the -- castle show Vince Coakley filling him were live and local WRD one a 63. It's. I mean. Glad to have you had this to like to join the conversation near the -- -- hotline numbers in Greenville -- three Q word. And Spartanburg five -- for word 973 the top -- and 71307. And from there. This very simple message I'm a black man in Spartanburg. I can see what's happened to our black -- This is self inflicted I observe all. The time. I just -- dared believe on this day. That we can see this turn around. It first test to begin -- being honest about what's happening. It requires leadership and and I don't care if it's in the black community York or anywhere else. What I continue to see is a void of leadership. About you but as you look around the landscape of your local area. Do you see real leaders people providing bold leadership. Or you see people just kind of going through the motions. You know this is the way things abandon this -- way they're always going to be and can't fight city hall and you know we've had these problems for years and or they. Is that was described before buying into the victim -- message. As I said I when he dared to believe. I don't see this. I was. You -- a speech. And was last week. And what are the things I said and I agree this very very strongly. I think some of the best people for the cause of liberty are converts. I mean think of Albert gallery for instance. He used to be a Democrat. And I think people like Kim. Are going to be more effective in communicating the liberty message. Than perhaps other people who have been. So called Republicans for all of their lives. They got a message to share because they know. That a garbage that they were believing before does not work. Is bankrupt. And as you look at them they're the ones who are most passionate about sharing a messenger liberty. They're not shy about it they're not concerned about sounding extremists. Or being right mean you're all this other silly talk that we hear. They're focused on what's right. They're passion. In what they communicate. You've noticed this about moderates. A new name for me one. Charismatic. Attractive. Moderates can you point to one for me. -- -- Point to a moderate to captures the hearts and minds in the imagination of people can you give me an example. I bet you can't because there aren't any. It's the people who understand what they've been under and I gave the example the woman who is. Unfortunately experienced the horrors of Nazi Germany. -- talked about people understand liberty. And a host of other people who come from other countries especially Communist countries and they get it they appreciate their freedom. Think it's time to let some of them take the lead. Is it very frequent guest on CNBC talking about economic issues also. What an interview with Peter Schweitzer about his book is called extortion. I wanna warn it this stuff will make Q so mad. What do you think is frustrating is what we have and I don't think it's an overstatement to say this we have what amounts to a criminal enterprise operating in Washington DC. The problem is that there's no statutory crime on the books for what they're doing. But it's no less criminal. And when you hear about this I mean it it it would explain a lot. It would explain a lot. So that's coming up on tomorrow's program right here in the -- just show Vince Coakley -- and it's gotta call now from two member at a Greenville welcomed. -- -- you there aren't very well man. We're gonna have a little crises. In America. And it affects all of -- All of us a kind of mixed all mixed up naturally but effect but what I'm saying it's not like a little black issue going on here. My mother came from -- I don't only put everything in my culture and come outlook in different -- -- -- -- and it because we're literally moments from -- What are rightly makes an amount you know who my audience I wanna you know Friday. Not -- thirty as I live in the community right mail where Hispanics gave up on Sunday and they walk on the account is. They do they have to do to get up -- -- And they do what they have didn't get up OK okay we get some allow people to let -- -- Yeah and then -- something now have you seen the difference though between a lot of American blacks. And blacks from the Caribbean and from Africa. I think they've basically the ones that are here male feel like they're one title. I think people want to come here they had -- you call like abnormal they black or colored I don't know how they cope chart flattened out. But if you go downtown they get that restaurant. They got to their shots. They felt their oil. They yourself independent. State struggle and they will be tested in the Congo until America can make it work. -- -- you're actually I ran for sheriff -- people -- the warrants that are helping build up communities. -- so hurt and you -- in impoverished. Area -- full tour we play back. And we know what Americans. America can offer. And I've talked to my children every day I have four in college right now. You. It -- well thank god for all your father. And -- conference that congressional clad in the fourth. And they -- everything will curl up you know to let everything stand up on their own -- you know won't talk about Gerald Ford's children airport junior. And Carol Ford do you have for reform now he did not we -- and that was unfortunate. But can still listen to life. It. I'm act different people could stop complaining. Because even in my samples -- by mail. I -- camp for not fighting Al -- -- but the thing about it is nobody owe anybody any kind. He go back -- it was not a black white issue if Spain out of the condom and a problematic -- -- -- tumble. Let's get tired of common they'll probably -- anybody panhandle remain. You know -- dot and do what you gotta do a quick -- want to go help their plight and -- people who think. All other kind of stuff because it comes up on still looks bad on everybody else and I got to -- great -- myself. I don't think I can improve on what you've communicated there thanks a lot for calling and thanks for your exam for your hard work. And so I. I just hope and -- and there will be many more like you who will take the same stand. Because we needed speaking out. And she just reference to food stamp issue a story that we'll just -- since you that Morse we can hear the rest -- show live local WRD. 1063 Vince Coakley affiliate. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- 673. Fixed line is 713. -- Do you agree call it just happens camera. This gets back to the issue. When you have empowerment. Empowerment it's over victim Knology. She said something about food stamps and other is a good lead into. This story. This just absolutely mending. -- grocery store employees face federal charges for collecting. More than 300000. Dollars in profits from ate -- get food stamps scheme. The federal and -- officials of the employees. Of this Delhi. This is not in this area. They were indicted on charges they allegedly purchased supplemental nutrition assistance program coupons or snap. From customers and resold or use them at a profit. This is great. They got a little food stamp business going. The defendants allegedly collected. 340000. Dollars in illegal profits. The snap benefits. May only be used by those in need to purchase food and improved retail food stores. And may not be exchanged for cash. But they work. Great business going on. But a person I'd love to talk to some times Tom Coburn. I don't know if you're familiar with -- every year. Tom Coburn comes out with a list of government waste that goes on and and he made the point about this most recent recent budget deal. That the alleged savings. That they found over what ten years in this stupid budget plan they put together. And yet shame -- Paul Ryan for being involved in that monstrosity. What a joke. They can actually save that amount of money in one year just by eliminating the waste that he has identified. And you know what's crazy about this is he has repeatedly brought these things up. -- again he goes back to where I used before about leadership where is the leadership. To take up Tom Coburn and say okay jurors -- duplication and waste let's get rid of it. Nobody wants to get rid of it there's no will to do it. You know why because it's not there money. This is why I make the argument it's time for more people like yourself. And yes look at yourself in the mirror. This is why I make the argument more regular people. Need to get involved and run for office. Because what's really happened here is we've got a lot of people. Who have no connection to reality. -- no connection to the real world. And so they don't have to pay the price. For all of these. Silly things that are done in Washington DC these irresponsible things they don't have to. I told you there are a lot of things going on in our society there are trends that we are talking about in the mainstream news media is not covering. With the level of outrage. That needs be covered. I came across a story and wanna make sure Chris has that. Tim this story on the couple that's moved we're gonna share this coming out either today or tomorrow. I want you to hear this because this is a story this that trend and I and I wanna ask you out there. What are your familiar with these kinds of situations were people actually moving back home I'm not just argue back college students. There are situations now -- fair Malays were couples. Are moving back home. To live with parents because the economic conditions are so bad. I think there's a lot of things like this going on in our society right now and they are going on. Under the radar. Before not paying attention to it at all. They have no realization whatsoever. How bad the job situation is. And how bad the real economy is I think this all the time immigrant grocery store -- grocery store lately. You -- there -- shoe store lately and ends in seeing the prices for things like ground beef. I mean it's crazy. How expensive things are. And yet. The prices. -- wish the increases. Are probably well beyond the pay increases that your experience. We are literally the frog in the pot. And unfortunately because we've been distracted by so many stupid things. I mean do you care. How many times Justin Bieber is gonna announce that he's retiring. Do you care about the car dash -- I don't. But unfortunately this gets a lot of media attention. And all of these distractions. Serbs to draw our attention away from the fact that we are having the American dream stolen right out from plunderous. This is what's happening we're coming up we're gonna shared your story. Of what's going on one of these trends couples moving back home. It's really said. Got Vince Coakley -- and -- castle by the local WRG one a six story. This is the rust castle show -- and charge my batteries specialists. We're live local the URD 163 Vince Coakley and -- castle. You've heard of the college graduates bunking with mom and -- as they look for their first job. We'll get a load of this -- Some would be moms and dads are actually saving for their new additions in a new way. Check out this story out of Miami. CBS for. They're cute and cuddly. But costly. Don't necessarily think about it before you have -- -- and then all of sudden like -- -- back at how do we make a spark financially to help make -- -- financially alleged escort her husband Josh and their baby Charlotte. Moved in with -- his parents when they relocated to her hometown. We weren't thinking about it may be be three mile and maybe -- spun and it turned out to be here it'll arrangement that is growing in popularity. Young couples when they have a child when they're planning to have a child are moving back in with their parents and ten cent of young women. Our game winning home with their parents to save money to have children this is a new trend a trend that for some extends beyond getting help with housing. A survey found that nearly 30% of new parents get financial assistance from their parents. Davies and her financial expert Carmen Wong Allred says that parents who support their kids with kids have less time to save for retirement. If you're supporting -- children it is this strain and can be a strain on your own financial future. -- Allred says that multi generational living can benefit everyone involved both emotionally and financially but before -- up. Can make short sit down and have that talk as awkward as it may -- to talk about okay. How are we gonna run things it's a talk Alexis had with her parents we went paper grocery. And they weren't gonna charge just ramps for Phillies giving financial health Ted Betts president of the national endowment for financial education has this -- -- have an adult agreement on what your expectations. So if it's a loan when you can get paid back. What interest rates should be applied -- phone and experts agree it's important to keep your savings on track. Make sure that your own financial retirement plan is healthy. And won't be damaged. If you can get. As in your grandparents. To make sure that you are financially sound as for Alexis she was happy to spend so much quality time with her parents and she and Josh saved enough money for their new home. I haven't land home and eighteen years that was made to rediscover our relationship with my parents. Ask the parents I don't think our vision was ever oh let's go live what -- and think and the when we're older -- you know how it worked out. For probably get financial help from their parents Ted -- suggests putting at the agreement into writing to prevent any tension. Down the road and he recommends starting small when it comes to saving setting up an emergency fund. For unplanned expenses and then focusing on longer term savings plans after that. -- -- at CBS four news tonight. How many stories have you seen on that. If there if this economy is so. Just roaring along so well. Why we have couple's young couples moving back home with parents. This is another hidden thing going on -- society people obviously do not wanna talk about. A -- wants to join -- the conversation welcomed the program got about a monitor to. OK -- -- repair I'll talk about the black -- -- in America well. They are right how about actually know college is it just reminded me of the movie -- black pants that they conduct and how you're not saying that. Apoplectic at the -- society a -- Italian north Bayer based part yet it -- run in America. -- -- -- if they do that. In a black coast -- of credit and not -- -- kind of a weird way he watched a movie YouTube don't they are based in Adobe you know predict that we are real pot. If there. Now -- -- -- pound want a black messiah we will do what and -- up next BC is Barack Obama. You don't think -- kind of crazy if you're basically. The gold rich no welfare program -- -- a co wrote so that photo what they do with the program. Well. It and it wouldn't surprise me at all I mean I understand what you're saying I'm not necessarily into the the drugs being played fed to the black community thing because ultimately we have a choice we can say no we don't want it. But. You do make great points in offering the messiah. You know I happen to believe in one messiah and it's not anybody who's living here on the earth right now. And this is one of the unfortunate things is that people have been. Basically primed. To believe. And I've talked about this before or what we have been progressive -- Is a system that's designed. To cause people to believe in government to have government replace god. This is not an accident this is all intentional. This is why there's -- continuing assault on nonprofits. Because the government does not want you to look to other sources does not want you looking to your family does not what you're looking at your extended family or community. They want the government. To be the source for everything. Everything. So this is the road we continued down the question this. These are going to be an alternative liberty message in empowerment message. It says. The real compassion and I -- this from rush because I think he has said this better and anybody. The real test of compassion is not how many. Let's start talking about job creation. -- talking about a talks start talking about a plan. For getting kids educated reducing dropouts. This is what's gonna make the real difference long term. I think many if you would certainly agree with that the Rush Limbaugh show is coming up next directly out of news my name's Vince Coakley in for Russ castle. Who live and local and W ward. And enjoy the great conversation right here on WRD 10630. Have a good afternoon.
