This is the Russ castle show Howard and charge my batteries specialists. Good morning to you hope you're doing well on this Friday. Well we've just come through halftime we're heading into the third quarter chicken you're right up to Rush Limbaugh. And noon right here on by the local WORD 1063 I am -- castle. My motto is know what you believe and why you believe it so what I do is consistent conservative commentary. And I welcome your thoughts and opinions. On anything. That's the deal. They Eagles advantage talk like numbers rebuilt 2329673. Spartanburg 5749673. -- you'd rather text then talk. Then use the WORD text line number that when -- 71307. Bob and travelers rest is gonna show you how it's done I'm up. -- good to talk to you today listen. -- sense the desperation and not the agony of their body parts about the culture and what's going on. When I came back from Vietnam in 69 from flying over there actually look big four engine jet transports down and in Charleston and there's a principal and flight called being behind the power her final you've ever heard rapist -- what does that mean. Well -- what it means is when you're on an airplane. You can actually have so much drag on the airplane your lecture there on your peers down there and all that kind of stuff. And you get to speech so slow and that's what happened to bank create an airplane up there and that's. And it in this French bistro -- branch of the runway yeah they got behind the power curve -- one that's how it's part of it was too late may put a 100% Strobl. On the airplane and you cannot increase sure airspeed. Number how much power you put on that if you behind the power -- Well the way that relates to our culture today we have so much drag on the culture morally and spiritually and all of -- Didn't know even if we came up with which some political theory -- economic period they had put more money into or whatever it is. We've got so much drag spiritually morally in our country. But no actually lower than those that you only way you can get out of -- a situation. Where it toward a nosedive so we get back to something that it sadly I have concluded Bob and that is and people organized hate this again every time I say it. You have to crash and burn. Lester that's the that's the point you're right it which the only way to get out of that you can't put -- more power and you've got to sacrifice altitude -- -- speed. In order to dump the drag and get the flaps up to -- your opponent you can try again. The question is are we shall close to the ground now historically. -- we have so much Greg would be that the lord and culture I think the problem is in the church. I think we need -- spiritual revival. I think the only -- -- spiritual revival mean sworn in those mean humbly acknowledging that. We're not gonna find the answer to this in economics or politics. Is going to take absolute repentance. In the church groups or anything that happened like that and whether we have enough time left like that. That airliner in San Francisco there's enough time historically forced a lord knows what their altitude lift. I don't know -- but I'm trying that there will be enough. -- -- -- are in roads into Hollister yeah okay how close to the ground are we right now Bob -- Policy that they I can I can't tell you that apology from Oregon knows he is the master pilot is the one who's doing -- well. We've gotten this situation and you're you know that you you know the economic you know the politics you know all of those things. The question is he is are we still gonna try to make just in Maine and charter operation. If it is we're gonna get a man shattered result which is crashing and burning their mean historically. They're good. The great illustration of that as the French revolution compared the American revolution but French revolution was a humanistic driven revolution. Eight -- for turn it takes and all the rest of it and -- and the producer reign of terror in America we had a god based revolution. And thank god would still a third they sent curb our culture today we don't have that were more like that. French it in the interest of being human history command center and the result that only god knows I can't tell you as a pilot who how far we are both ground. But I think god knows that they only have pretty good now instead it's to repent is to turn our. Is used to second chronicles 714 if my people who called my mind anymore homeland themselves and real. And sequestration and so I think there's hope I think this -- but the only hope is it's not a -- not even in politics or economics should put more power on the aircraft. We don't think it lower than those in return to concentrate. Well Ted Wells said Bob I appreciate you so much thank you art in my library I I agree that that's. That's truths. What you just heard from Bob. Is one of those rare things these days that's that's absolute truth I know. I know there are many. Did do not. And won't accept. What Bob just shared -- That's part of problem too but. But at least Bob shared what I try to do often on this program this year is Bob and I knew something that we wish that. All people know. So where are -- Last hour. We were talking about these new. So called unemployment figures that came out. And it's just -- it's just a disaster. Now he heard the news. The so called government unemployment rate is the lowest it's been in five years six point 7% in December and from a lot of folks. That's -- here. And they'll think off today. Although bright corners are wrong things are getting better. They're totally wrong Obama Obama. Has figured out how to take the plane out of a nosedive. Saved -- And then you learn the truth about that fraudulent figure. The reason it's down to the -- foreign fighters as. People just. Walked away from the labor force or they quit even looking for a job. The figure that you should remember is we here at the lowest point now since 1978. These figures just out. But an hour and twenty minutes ago. Only 62 point 8%. Of the adult population in this country is actually participating in the labor market in the name. And that's. That's not even the most devastating figure I think. When you look at something called the U six number. Which is the number that the labor and I don't know why they just don't report that number well I do know why. Is because this is all about spend. The U six number does include people. Stop looking for a job. And again. My biggest concern as young people. -- our dollars between the ages of 1829 are you -- -- to this program between the ages of twenty now eighteen and 29. You know what the real number is for you fifteen point 9% unemployment. Because it includes those have you given up look at. I mean you look at the breakdown. Eighteen to 29 year old African American. And impoverished 44 point 2% Hispanics at sixteen point 8%. So have we gotten to the point. Because I got to tell -- ice and said. In doing this program every day I I sense that people horror living symbolize of quiet desperation here locally. I I don't know for quite at that point because the peace and American thinker compares us to the Soviet bloc in the fifties and sixties. You know we'd obviously don't have long food lines. We obviously. You know don't have the the grim. It kind of outlook as things are onetime -- I was fortune -- I went to Berlin Germany. -- right before the wall came down and we actually broadcast from there it'd be it was. It was quite an experience. And I remember when we landed. In Berlin and walk into that airport seeing -- there was machine guns but it it look like a black and white movie to me it was like every war movie that you've ever seen. Specially from the fifties and sixties so I know what do you -- was writing about here. The old Soviet -- you know. People that you need to know smiles on the faces no bright colors and all that kind of thing and it's it is kind of like him. Has an effect on everything. So you compare that when he what do you fish did this compare that until now. -- -- we looked around here at home he writes that the hopelessness and low expectations. Have now invaded a good portion of our United States Americans have lived in recession. And high unemployment for the past five years and now it's showing their faces and their body language and in their attitudes they're tired they're distrustful. They are politically divided many your broke. And most live carefully it appears that hope is in short supply for many. You look out on the street he says it was a sort of quiet desperation pervades. Any observers people still laugh from the go to bars and -- malls. But he says the national personality has changed and it's not for the better than America used to be people that lived in the future they are. There were excited about things like new houses and children and science and current events in business and growing cities and suburbs. But now you look around America. People don't know or trust their neighbors' taxes are so high that even if you can work more than one job. You're always worried about just keeping and the one that you that you have. -- right spots for the future tempered by limits internal and external we have a government is growing ever bigger and more oppressive every day so he says it's no wonder. That the people we see every -- are getting smaller and smaller just like those eastern bloc people who lived those drab lives. Run. By the government. But Danny finishes on about Dodi says we need to dream big again we need to plan a glorious future for our kids. We need -- and smiles we cannot let expanding government. Make this into the sport -- people standing in line for a single look for dark bread. When he politicians who understand this we got to find them elect him hold them accountable. He says is not too late it's time to be an American individual. Again. I appreciate those words. -- I agree with Bob I don't I don't think the answer is in politicians. -- you know if you listen this program -- I I have given up on politics. And until I see some indication. There's a there's a reason to have hope in politics. I I'm I'm just not gonna play their game anymore now a lot of talk show host do. All you hear on their programs is politics politics politics politics. I am. I'm I'm kind of beyond that talks. Because again I believe the mess that we're in lies squarely at the feet of the two major political parties in this country and I don't think there's any question about that. We are worried are because they put us here. And the way they control things in the way they even if you had to. Tea parties are conservatives they're demonized by. Members of their own party. Neither do we eat your threats you're not now I'm an English you can. Album when election like in 2010. So. I think Bob's right. I think Vonage. Absolutely correct. The answers. Outside of politics. So I don't know -- I don't know if we're the sole Wagner. Anybody wanna take that went on. Here is America's still have a soul. Have we become a sold us. Country. Because in many ways are gonna -- I see a lot of zombies walk. I think politicians are vampires they don't capsules. I think they see your reflection on the stand in front of -- but that's just me. You know the other day I was I was I was at -- -- gives a few things from my wife that she needed and what are you go out and I'm I'm just an observer of people I don't mean to be mean that I. I -- laws are -- I mean they're nice people out there and they they mean well but. What little phrase crystal lights on but nobody's home. I believe that's a phrase. You know what I'm talking about I do -- do you see these zombies when your on about. -- Can you kind of robots walking around in. If you were golf instructor conversations say you what do you think about common -- they go -- oblivious to their surrounding -- yeah. No Haley got -- Obama -- what. Failure to vote for in the next election -- Though it does America still have. Sold. And welcome your thoughts on that are anything -- -- talked to Larry in Simpson. Hi Larry. I'm -- under us you know when I'm doing well thank you I don't. Somebody database usually like probably it will all answer when they're always keep it up third period -- notice how low we are alerts and Libya. But there were no words -- Libya. All right you all -- I think we dude I guess I just heard the story the other night it is I was gonna talk about yesterday but I ran out of time. There they found that one of these guys that they let out of gitmo. Went back to Libya. -- is a member of al-Qaeda even though the New York Times and oh we can't find any al-Qaeda connection. As well you know in Libya and in big -- and and it's a State Department the other day was even saying that oh we don't we just really don't have any connection. Between -- And hello. And Libya and it yet this is the guy we know his name and we let him out anyway back over there and and they think now he has some association. We're Libya I think we know everything there is to know about Libya. And Boehner and Obama they just don't want the American people. And to know the real truth about it this is what I've come to -- also. You're never won it where do you remember what Obama said we've got al-Qaeda on the run. Already there or do you know CNN. Has a story this morning. CNN now. -- That that al-Qaeda. Now controls. More of the Middle East that -- ever had. So how in the world have we got al-Qaeda on the wrong. Well we don't. Okay -- was little -- about bank Gaza and its own the toast of the Mediterranean okay. I was a Mediterranean for search once on the aircraft carrier go on one another other. You know and wished -- trial and I was still keep an aircraft carrier and Mediterranean. -- He's been there -- -- Except I'm kind of I don't think Ben Ghazi is on the coast. Yesterday about got a map right here in okay well I didn't know going most although like most people know that -- continue right. When and they got it happened that night or whatever work we had an aircraft carrier there with planes ready to fly above post. I looked un squadron that flew out of parameter around. This year up you know radar don't go over the whole roster. Because of the strike while you can go up so our planes flew. Eight or 900 miles away and -- what -- was comment with the radio the ship and make them. Immediately launch planes -- ownership whatever looked ready -- us. Now. Then god help underline maybe they couldn't have gotten planes out. Right away but it's even if the ship was in Spain. By the next morning and it's sort of been so I would 800 miles cloture -- -- Gaza. For launch support. For the people that he didn't -- in Gaza being bombarded didn't kill. And I've never heard better approach. By anybody anywhere unless we don't have an aircraft carrier and the Mediterranean now but I think. Where -- I write this story came out. It must've been two or three weeks ago. Where it has been proven now conclusively that we have people close enough to respond so well that build the lie continues. If it's. You know that they they're still the New York Times writing about that is still stupid stuff about the video. And -- but it but what Neal said and what came out there again is after the New York Times. Tried to provide what I think is cover for Hillary Clinton. That didn't you know the great reporting and Catherine Herridge fox the State Department on the cost. Now. A publicly designating. This former gitmo. Detainee. -- bin Kool Moe I think as I say it in his group aunts -- -- our culture -- The State Department has gonna designate mr. foreign terrorist entities. Over his alleged role in the being Ghazi terrorist attack that's what they reported the other night. So put that to bed. Where we let him out of gitmo they are involved and al-Qaeda they go back to go to places like Libya and they plot and they plan and -- but I think. -- really transparent reasons Obama Hillary Clinton they don't do anything they just revealed this week. In the in the gates book. You said they get it right in front of him. -- they've they weren't really behind the mission in Afghanistan although they center an additional 30000 troops over there. They do everything to a political prism. And they're just a bunch of liars Larry is what they are in in the C news story. I -- right here and probably Peter Bergen Jennifer Rowland. Headline is -- -- -- controls more territory than ever them at least here in and Peter Bergen is CNN's national security analyst. It hit each obscures the cup first public couple paragraphs from around the left Poland western Syria too small areas of pollution central Iraq. Al-Qaeda is new now controls territory. That stretches more than 400 miles across the heart of the middle least. And this is according to English and Arab language news accounts -- -- accounts on jihadist web sites. Al-Qaeda appears to control more territory. In the Arab world than it has done at any time in its history. And yet we hear from Obama not that long ago all we government run. And we hear familiar terms there was no connection. In -- -- to a cut blah blah blah blah flop. It's reporting this. While al-Qaeda will continue to get stronger in short you know what I'm gonna say about it you know why the terrorists. Just loaf. Was going on in America right now because they perceive just weeks. They love of weakness. They know me look what's going on Syria right now -- John Kerry I mean they pretty much seated. Their whole region now to Iran. -- No wonder we may be living quiet -- desperation because. Tony if you think about it mourn thirty seconds it's clear what what's happening to our country. Regular. 1026 now. Yeah we're gonna get a Fox News update coming up in ninety seconds a couple of text messages to get us there -- when things get really bad I like to quote. Josie wells what the outlaw Josie wells. And this -- seems bitten. Here's a quote now remember when things look bad and it looks like you're not gonna make it then you gotta get mean I mean diploma. Mad dog mean. Because if you lose your head. And you give up then you neither live nor win. That's just the way it is in to quote. -- caller Bob was spot all but unlike Bob I think we're about to crash. God always has his way of telling people what's coming. Yeah I'm. Russ food lions. To a London riots are not four behind when the big crash. Hits it will dwarf the great depression. And many will look to the feds who actually created this -- -- I say amen to Bob. I have an idea let's all say a prayer at the same time for this country twelve noon it can't hurt prayer is very powerful a band that. -- I agree with Bob 100% but I think we have crossed the rubicon. And god has given us off to the wicked and other than us. Spiritually it's all gonna keep going growing darker. -- -- -- -- -- Chris here's a -- Bob's your promo. Ross Bob from travelers rest. Simply one of the best. Most well spoken callers in a long time. I load. Is analogy. -- -- -- We have support Greg was coming up stay to 1030 now time for Fox News. This is that Russ -- show -- and charge my batteries specialists. -- so glad you're with us on this rainy Friday. Eagles' advantage to going to see we have one available at this moment if you -- quickly. You can get right through 2329673. In -- 5749673. In Spartanburg. WORD text Y number 71307. Constructive day and in Spartanburg and thank you for your patience. -- good morning -- As sort of -- follow up for your comments about our troops serving controlling your normal dictatorial little the government is. Becoming. We all are aware -- how intrusive like common -- EPA and sort of the big. Are -- national use. Issues how intrusive the federal government did in those circumstances. But I thank. There is a small increase apparently insignificant. Story but it it's kind of in my career. I'm -- for you reach. But the federal government -- com. And -- you mentioned earlier people just trying to live all their own -- There is a woman and I can't remember what they. She was there were a little higher or what just won the states she opened up -- and trying that shot. Okay she obviously people bring. They're holding her in and you know other right right to restore -- well recently yes right. She offered the opportunity that people who bring. They're items that they can ballroom here or there how. In the bookstore. The federal government is threatening to shut her down. And -- why for what reason because she cannot have people volunteer. They have to be. Paid employee -- -- -- You know I called the article Peter on drug -- on her like you don't -- site. I -- to -- but that just sounds crazy to me. Well done different but it isn't crazy but god and bad. -- -- Even some woman who just trying to make a puke bark and help other people make a -- are. The federal government needs is now my attitude is. We got politicians and bureaucrats that are making a bunch of fair rules and regulations that are controlling. The -- shall wait too many everyday people. We should be angry at those people but I'm almost broken their normal you'd -- It's taken a step further and we need to start we -- being a parent. Being unions. Who are working for the federal government. They implement its stated they all these things well don't people our economy. In effort. Enemies of of general further. -- know what I wonder -- yeah that's an excellent. Point because if we may have some of those people listening right now and and I got to tell you I I know some people who work in government very. End. They really are good people they're they're good people there god fearing Christian people. And I talked to them about this and it it's like some of them. Some of them are just oblivious they say well you know I really can't worry about. Policies or agenda as -- story right you're just doing my job and and and and other. And -- an amazing amount of them that I've talked to personally one on one particularly those and education. Get a jury then they live their lives and abject fear they don't. They don't wanna say anything. I have talked to some of them over the years and say listen you gotta come on the radio and tell that story no I can't. I and I -- this out if you wanna be anonymous I'll I'll I'll let you be anonymous just come on the show and just told the audience what you're telling me. And they'll say know who can do that somebody recognize my voice they -- their lives in abject fear it and I told the massive. Is that where you really really wanna live your life and they they say well I gotta I gotta have a job and this is what I do and. What -- compare how tyranny. Operate a pretty much very pretty much fear in every day that. Absolutely fear is a powerful power and motivate her and and so was desperation we're talking about this piece. Then America has become a place for people are living lives of quiet desperation. And it's all about control if people get desperate enough people get fearful -- not stand. Then yes they'll do anything that anybody tells them and they'll go for any offer of help as long as they think it's gonna solve an immediate need. And take it obamacare what agency he. What the most. -- agencies in the United States. What they conclude that the federal government put in charge of -- fortunate of Obama appear if you don't comply -- Well whatever happened to those two of those I -- investigation. Or what ever happened I mean come on. Very I'd just let me who who's the woman that resigned he was the head and play -- if you remember here and I just. I forgot and -- but anyway what ever happened her is she just so living on her pension now have. Sure sure. You probably secretly working for the internal revenue source she went out and god you know -- high paying jobs. With one of these organizations. Presidential liberal socialist -- Marxist progressives that's -- that support Obama and and his agenda. I I -- but it's an excellent point and I invite any of those people to call end. If you're not so afraid worried that somebody's gonna I mean you don't have to use your real name it bid if you're not worried that. -- of someone's gonna recognize your voice answered Dan's question how how do you continue to do and implement. What you know when your soul is destroying the country. Very right. Well think there are people that -- they -- that there are people just like all the people who helped to ever come to Jesus moment and make a serious decision. What's more important. Liberty or their picture. Our Dan thank you so much. I mean you know we talk about a lot intrusive government. Underinsured -- yesterday and I know people sometimes say we don't do numbers on the radio -- numbers -- it's hard for some people to understand numbers but. Do you know last year. -- government regulation. Cost us 447. Million dollars. Every day the government was open. 447. Million dollars. For each of the 251. Days. The federal government was open. According to the American action forum which predicts by the way. That the regulatory burden in this country. Is going to increase. From a 112 billion last year 243. Billion dollars this year. -- -- don't understand what I'm saying your understanding of the importance of the drained it to -- -- these regulations are putting on the economy. But folks if you can talk to any small business guy like I do. Not talk about -- small businesses on this program we appreciate him so much but you talk to. And the new regulations by the way this year. Calorie labeling for vending machines. -- want them to even though -- of these are sold in machines. And they already have that information on the label. Of of you know that that the product. One -- -- cnet's news.com. Sam back consumers the research director at the AAF. You'll be able to see the chocolate and fried potato chips have a lot of calories and you'll be able to say that twice. When the new regulations become final. Overall regulatory activity up. From -- twelve in part because the White House delayed some controversial rules until after the Tony twelve election. Last year. Federal regulators added 2974. More pages of rules to the federal register. Intrusive you -- 1042 now back right after this article. One Chris I'm just talking about -- new regs and people -- says the calorie content on the outside of vending machines. Even though this stuff has already on the product since I mean who who in their right minds can sit there and look and go. Well because -- candy bar has a lot of calories gee I didn't know that I -- I don't think I'm gonna get a candy -- Listen to this window. Didn't just give me your reaction to this there's a group in San Francisco of course there and -- medalists. And then we have decided that they want a warning label about global warming. On gas pumps. Foxnews.com they wanna remind drivers that refilling their cars with gas. Is leading to global warming and they wanna slap a sticker on gas pumps similar to those that you find on a carton of cigarettes. This was reported in the San Francisco chronicle. Quote the goal isn't to take transportation away from people and say you're a bad person. Jamie Brooks -- the Bay Area chapter of 350 dot org told the chronicle. The goal is to create a signal saying. You need to change your behavior. I think guide. I've come up with -- another warning label. And on their I would simply say you need to mind your own -- business. This 350 -- or group is a group. They're trying to build a global grassroots movement to quote solve the climate crisis. And they've made clear that the warning label fight is solely and initiative they say. By the Bay Area branch. You know you know all all they have to do is call Obama. Other labels designed as straightforward as a white on black writing topped off with warning in bold on orange background and here's what I would say. The state of California has determined. -- global warming caused by greenhouse gases poses a serious threat to the economic wellbeing public health. Natural resources and the environment of California. Gas station owners and oil companies would likely fight. A ruling in favor of the warning labels. Anything about it you're here in the upstate today if you were to pull up at a gas station. And you're starting to fill up and you saw a warning label. And certainly. What what they're trying to do. Even though they say they're not -- that they wanna make you feel bad. About putting gas in your time what would your reaction Betty. The cash origin 49 Edwards on a cell phone I Edward. Hey I'll try to make this -- I -- sales were bands are all yeah. I recently watched an old movie that was released back in 1960 very unstable for entry units they've called the great state oh yeah Steve -- They were crying and didn't garner. And one in Florida opening sing when they're bringing all these prisoners occurred during our prison camp yeah. Tree dropped surfer. The prisoners -- were the current. -- -- and the common not as has threatened him that they won't tolerate anybody trying to escape for creating problems. And he beat Stanford directs as surrogate that are. Patriotic duty to do everything we can't to a state it's our patriotic BP do everything we can't -- gum up the works for these. Right yeah I I remember the -- yeah. And that's what we need to there and its -- what's different for different people. Just this bit distant sandwich shop they need to get every balance here they can possibly get in the air. And it's become an arrest a hundred people that's a hundred people -- government has that puts our American peers -- we. If you don't get on the you know you've got to cover every few ordinary person -- -- Right now if it turns into thousands tens of thousands. Hundreds of thousands we've had people call a -- say what are they gonna do. Well earlier that the -- -- stated that it was different for different people you said. Earlier in the shirt buried that they act sort of -- right post 60% -- -- -- in 1929 -- thirty. This report that national news sit there unemployment is 6%. Since. You become arm and very. Is it pretty well they are ugly act for that bit but we do we -- We could have Joseph Wilson's all over this country. There are standing up saying you are you know -- -- steps are in big bear all the we go out there. All people on the carpet and at every turn. Eleanor why aren't -- well and I try to do that have been called in October as personal recession. -- -- -- -- We -- to secede from the system at every possible turn and we -- -- a -- They're really hit -- I can't will be ready. -- Deborah thank you so much. This from John and -- Ross I got a warning label. This should be plastered everywhere. And it would read liberalism is. A mental. Disorder. You know I've often thought. Version I can go into business and just do nothing more than bumper stickers it we. Did you buy like one of these machines and like every day -- everything that has occurred to me think of the bumper stickers that we can just crank out every day. They going to make any money at that. A delicate thing we give people -- volunteer to work force and have holder and Obama come after us if if if -- were you calling consignment stickers. There Russ vending machine labels won't help anyone that really cares about labels already knows what daylight and the nutritional content perhaps Big Brother. Should just take over issue food vouchers and just get it all over with flatbed I think his words senate. -- centerpiece -- quick break back right after this. A couple of text messages to finish up this hour rush. Liberalism tell John is not a mental disorder they know exactly what they're doing. And Johnson another when Ross I've got a bumper sticker I -- we really could sell -- all the liberals he would say my god is a white. Africa and America. -- now this environmental group once they -- equivalent gas pumps about global warming. Triggers something like this would come out of the city San Francisco. That have best supports the arguments for retro active abortions. -- reckon we might appease these idiots if we just tattooed a warning on the forehead of every newborn. Probably not these are people Ross that are never satisfied. Regardless of what hoops are jumped true. To appease them still -- I -- you and everybody else to know I pray. Every day for San Francisco. I've prayed that it will go ahead and slide off into the Pacific. People can't. We're gonna wrap it up for the week and for this Friday coming up one more big hour ago hope you'll stick around. I got several things including a pre filed bill here in South Carolina wanna get your idea on this. That would change the requirements is forced children in booster seats and whether or not they can sit in the backseat of the front seat. The senator says it's all about safety will see.
